How chain is made

If you can get past the introductory shots, dated style and the terrible music they used for this video, i think you will find it fascinating!  

Honestly - it's worth watching. Seeing them combine 24 carat gold with alloys to make 14 or 18 carat, then casting, milling, stretching, heating and linking - so interesting.  The amount of steps involved in creating chain is really quite staggering.  You can see them make cable chain, venetian chain, figaro, spider and rope in the video.

I will never take a necklace for granted again!
