ELECTRONIC SHEEP X EDGE ONLY COLLABORATION
‘MIXED TAPE’ PENDANT
Electronic Sheep designers Brenda Aherne and Helen Delany have come together with designer Jenny Huston of Edge Only to design a mega statement piece inspired by their mutual connection to music. The collaboration marks Electronic Sheep’s 21st Birthday.
Introducing the Electronic Sheep X Edge Only ‘Mixed Tape’.
A three-dimensional cassette tape pendant in hallmarked sterling silver or 18ct gold vermeil. Hand drawn by the designers, the tape has all the original details of a 90’s compact cassette tape, complete with label, tape counter window, tape head, capstan & pinch roller openings and corner screw detailing.
The A side is blank so that owners can engrave their own tape name on the label (should they wish to!) The B side is a party mixed tape - ELECTRONIC SHEEP X EDGE ONLY to celebrate 21 years of Electronic Sheep with a 21 key, skull, heart, anchor and Edge Only flat fop lightning bolt.
As per both brands’ values this cassette tape was designed and ethically made in Ireland and hallmarked in Dublin Castle.
A Men’s version will also be available in late September.
Jenny Huston is a former RTE 2FM DJ and music TV presenter who launched jewellery brand Edge Only in 2014 with the Rock & Roll collection. Electronic Sheep is a knitwear label established in 1998, working out of London and Dublin – they have based several of their collections on music including collaborations with artists, DJs and music fanzines. Both brands have an extensive celebrity and rock star following.
