Edge Only has been shortlisted!

We are absolutely delighted to have been nominated for the Irish Made Awards with Guaranteed Irish and Irish Country Magazine.  The jewellery category is packed full of incredible talent, so it means all the more to be recognised and included alongside them.

Their shortlist is a great way to find out about the amazing talent Ireland has to offer in Food and Drink, Home, Gift, Jewellery, Textiles and so much more.  It's a perfect cheat sheet to websites for you to check out for gifts, treats and investments for your home (or just to drool at).

Here is a little about the awards from Irish Country Magazine:

We are delighted to reveal the shortlist nominees for each category of the Irish Made Awards by Irish Country Magazine. You can vote for your favourite business in each category below by selecting their name and clicking Vote.

There is one vote counted per person in each category. For example, once you’ve used your vote in the Food & Drink category, you cannot vote again on the same device (eg laptop, phone, tablet). Voting closes on Sunday, 6th August, 2017.

The judging day took place at day one of this summer's Bloom festival. Irish Country Magazine Editor Jennifer Stevens and Deputy Editor Klara Heron were joined by our esteemed judging panel, Director of Guaranteed Irish Brid O’Connell, food writer and editor Ross Golden Bannon, fashion journalist Ruth O’Connor, CEO of Bord Bia Tara McCarthy and interior designer Roisin Lafferty. The panel was blown away by the calibre of the entries and spent hours going through over 300 submissions to narrow down the shortlist for the public vote. Branding, design, place in the market and company website were among the criteria taken into account by the judges.

Now it’s up to you to vote for the Irish Made businesses you think should come out on top in each category. This is your chance to help an Irish business win an incredible prize. Voting closes on Sunday, 6th August, 2017.

THE PRIZE

Each of the ten category winners will feature in a special issue of Irish Country Magazine in September and the overall winner will receive an advertising package from Irish Country Magazine worth €5,000 and a membership and mentorship prize from Guaranteed Irish.

Here is a little about the awards from Guaranteed Irish:

Irish Country Magazine has launched their inaugural Irish Made Awards.

The awards, open to creative businesses and makers across the country, will highlight the best in Irish made products with the overall winner taking home an advertising and mentoring package worth €10,000. The idea for Irish Made came on the back of Irish Country Magazine winning the Innovation Award at the Magazines Ireland Awards 2016, for creating the Irish Made stamp highlighting Irish products featuring in the magazine each month.

Speaking about the Irish Made Awards, editor of Irish Country Magazine, Jennifer Stevens said;

“We are so proud to be launching Irish Made x ICM. We’re huge fans and supporters of Irish design, craft and business at Irish Country Magazine and we’re delighted to launch these awards that honour the talented people behind them….

…Small and medium business across the country need to be supported and championed, not just the big corporations in the cities. This award and campaign is for them, and we are thrilled to be the magazine to bring something like this to life.”

The competition, is open to businesses across the country in the following categories;

• Fashion

• Accessories

• Jewellery

• Textiles

• Furniture

• Home

• Gift

• Beauty

• Food & drink

The shortlist from each category – decided by an expert judging panel from companies like Guaranteed Irish, Bord Bia, Kildare Village and more – will be announced in June, with voting taking place online through Irish Country Magazine’s website until August. The ten honourees in each category and overall winner of Irish Made will be announced in September.

The winner with get an advertising package from Irish Country Magazine, and membership and mentoring from Guaranteed Irish worth a total of €10,000.

Irish Country Magazine are leaders in promoting Irish creators and makers, and this award – along with an Irish Made Summit to be hosted in September – is a new development for the magazine to continue championing the amazing work done and products produced across the country by small, medium and large businesses.
